Are you a Colombian company (legal entity) conducting a foreign exchange transaction?
Make sure you bring the following up-to-date documentation:
- RUT (Single Tax Registry).
- Chamber of Commerce Certificate (with issue date no more than 60 days old).
- Photocopy of the legal representative’s ID. (Only if the transaction is carried out on their behalf by a third party)
- Document certifying the name, identification and percentage of participation of the partners (Applicable if any partner owns more than 25% of the share capital)
- Income tax return for the last year
- Balance Sheet and Financial Statements for the last year.
Authorization for third parties - public and private sector companies
Do you need to carry out a foreign exchange transaction and are you going to send someone to handle it for you?
Remember that in these cases, it is essential to present a letter of authorization with the following details:
- Addressed to Amerikan Cash
- Dated the day the transaction will be made
- Printed on company letterhead
- Signed by the legal representative, either with original or electronic signature
- Clearly indicate the amount to be changed
- Indicate the origin and destination of the funds
The letter can be submitted in physical form or sent digitally, as long as it includes the electronic signature of the legal representative or alternate.
Authorization for third parties - public sector companies
Are you a public sector entity sending someone to handle foreign exchange transactions on your behalf?
In this case, it is necessary to present:
Copy of the administrative act authorizing the purchase or sale of foreign currency on behalf of the entity.
The document must include the identification of the officials authorized to act as agents in this transaction.
